Whipped Feta w/ Fresh Pita Bread

Have you ever tried Whipped Feta w/ Fresh Pita Bread?!


This is perfect as an appetizer before dinner, a snack after work/at work, or it could even be a side dish for a Mediterranean themed night at home!

Whipped Feta w/ Fresh Pita Bread Recipe:


Yield: 2 Servings

Cook Time: 15 Min


Ingredients:

- 1 Cup Feta Cheese Crumbles or Vegan Feta Crumbles

- 4 oz Cream Cheese or Vegan Cream Cheese

- 1-2 Tbsp Heavy Cream, Whole Milk, or Oat Milk

- 1 tsp Sea Salt

- 2 tsp Fresh Cracked Black Pepper

- 3-4 Fresh Chives, Minced

- Optional: Serve w/ Roasted Tomatoes or Fresh Pita Bread


Directions:

1. Gather all ingredients. Let feta cheese come to room temperature for 5-10 minutes- this will help the feta whip up better.

2. In a food processor or blender, add the feta cheese and blend together on high for 4-5 minutes or until the feta is in small crumbles.

3. In a large mixing bowl, transfer the feta cheese and pour in the cream cheese and heavy cream. Whip mixture for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy. The mixture will have some slight lumps, but the smoother the better!


Tips/Tricks:

- You can add other herbs that you enjoy like fresh basil or rosemary :)

- Try using a food processor for the whole process if you’d like to cut down on how many dishes you use. (Sometimes food processors can’t handle the volume of cheese, so I tend to recommend the mixing bowl process until you have a strong food processor!)
