Pop, Pop, Popcorn!

Updated: Jun 8, 2020

Popcorn is seriously one of my favorite foods to snack on! Whenever I go to the movie theater I HAVE to get popcorn or it feels like a waste of a movie ticket! lol This recipe is super quick and you get soooo much more "bang for your buck" instead of purchasing the expensive popcorn bags where 25% of your kernels didn't even pop -_- I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do! *Butter Optional :))

Pop, Pop, Popcorn Recipe:

Yield: 7 Cups

Cook Time: 10 Min

Ingredients:

- 1/8 Cup Coconut Oil

- ¼ Cup Popcorn Kernels (White or Yellow)

- 1 tsp Sea Salt

- 2 oz Nooch or Nutritional Yeast

- 1 ½ Tbsp Potlatch Seasoning

Directions:

1. Heat a large pot with a lid. Add coconut oil and warm.

2. Test a few kernels to make sure they pop and then wait a few. Once they pop, remove them and add ¼ cup popcorn kernels.

3. Cover pot with lid. Wait until popcorn begins to pop. Once it intensifies, shake the pot, leave a vent for steam to escape from.

4. Once popping begins to settle, remove from heat and sprinkle the popcorn with salt, nooch, and seasoning, enjoy!

Tips/Tricks:

- You can combine the white and yellow kernels to get some fun contrast while popping!

- The larger the pot, the more surface area the kernels will come in contact with and end up popping faster.
