Why hello there Grilled Avocado Salsa w/ Tortilla Chips!


This is the perfect snack when you’re getting home from a long day of work or school!


The recipe is super simple to make and it’s an incredibly nutrient-dense and protein-packed snack!

Grilled Avocado Salsa w/ Tortilla Chips Recipe:


Yield: 2 Servings

Cook Time: 15 Min


Ingredients:

- 2 Avocados, Grilled & Mashed

- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil or Avocado Oil

- 2 Cloves Fresh Garlic, Minced or 1 ½ tsp Garlic Powder

- 1/8 Cup Red Onion, Chopped

- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika

- 2 tsp Sea Salt

- 1 ½ tsp Fresh Cracked Black Pepper

- 2 tsp Lemon Juice

- Optional: 2 Tbsp Chopped Cilantro


Directions:

1. Gather all ingredients & measure out. Wash and dry avocados and then slice open and remove the pit.

2. Next, preheat grill or griddle plate if using. (Link on my website for cast iron griddle).

3. Scoop out the inside of the avocado using spoon or avocado tool. Make sure to keep the avocado as whole as possible. Brush insides of avocados with olive oil or avocado oil.

4. Place on griddle and grill for 2-3 minutes until grill marks start to appear. Then mash the grilled avocados in a medium sized bowl.

5. Add your choice of garlic, chopped red onion, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 2 tsp sea salt, 1 ½ tsp fresh cracked black pepper, 2 tsp lemon juice, and optional cilantro. Mix together and taste to make sure there is enough seasoning.

6. Pair your grilled avocado salsa with tortilla chips and spread the guac on a platter for easy snacking, enjoy! :)


Tips/Tricks:

- Avocado tools are my newest favorite tool and they are my best friend! No more getting the pit stuck on your knife! (Link on my website).

- I recommend using a griddle plate for this instead of a grill. You can definitely try to grill the avocado on a traditional grill; however the avocado might fall through if the grill is too hot (Try 250°F-350°F).
