Coffee Salted Caramel Sauce

Do you love coffee and caramel? This recipe is especially calling your name if you do! :)

I have to have my morning coffee every day and as much as I love it, I like to switch things up now and again.

The caramel sauce can be stored for up to 3 months in an air-tight glass jar, I hope you all enjoy :)

Coffee Salted Caramel Sauce:

Yield: ~3 Cups

Cook Time: 30 Min

Ingredients:

- 1 Cup of Freshly Brewed Coffee

- Cream of Choice for Coffee

- 2 Cups Granulated Sugar

- 1 1/3 Cup Corn Syrup

- 1/8 Cup Earth Balance or Butter

- 2 Cups Coconut Cream or Heavy Cream, Divided in Half

- 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract

- 1 tsp Sea Salt

Directions:

1. Gather all ingredients. In a large saucepot or Dutch oven, combine the sugar, corn syrup, earth balance or butter, and half the coconut cream/heavy cream.

2. Slowly bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

3. Stir continuously, using a whisk as mixture bubbles, and add the remaining coconut cream.

4. Continue stirring occasionally until mixture reaches 235F. (You can use a candy thermometer or a regular thermometer to check the temperature).

5. Once it hits about 235F, remove the caramel from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

6. Brew a cup of coffee using your preferred method of choice.

7. Add the cream of choice and salted caramel sauce and then stir to combine. Taste to make sure the flavor is on point! Enjoy! :)

Tips/Tricks:

- You can add more sea salt flakes at the end for an extra salted flavor :)

- The caramel can be easily flavored with some melted dark or white chocolate!
